RJ Heckman, Ph.D.

President and CEO

RJ Heckman has been the president and CEO of PDI Ninth House since 2008.  During that time he led the acquisition and integration of Ninth House, and he positioned PDI Ninth House to become the premier global leadership solutions organization.  Prior to his role as CEO, RJ held key leadership positions at Honeywell and AT&T as well as PDI. He has lived and worked in New York, Boston, and Tokyo, and currently resides in Minneapolis with his wife and two children. A published author and sought-after speaker, RJ is a frequent presenter at both professional and academic venues. He also sits on the board of directors at PDI Ninth House. RJ has a Ph.D. in I/O psychology from the University of Tulsa.

 

Mike Carey, M.B.A., SPHR

Executive Consultant, Vice President of Global Human Resources

Michael Carey oversees PDI Ninth House’s selection of top talent across the world, and serves as an executive consultant, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in many of the world’s top organizations. Michael has led major HR organizations and understands the key drivers of talent management from the inside. Leadership development is his passion. In multiple industries across the world, he’s helped organizations identify, develop, and retain better talent. Michael’s expertise includes developing and integrating competency models, designing and delivering significant leadership development programs, coaching, and managing large high-potential leader programs.

 

Stuart Crandell, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President, Solution Portfolio Group

Stuart Crandell is senior vice president, with responsibility for the growth and profitability of PDI Ninth House’s full portfolio of offerings, including setting the global portfolio strategy and developing and deploying solutions to the market. He consults with leading organizations across a wide range of industries on CEO succession, senior executive assessments, succession management, high potential development, and M&A talent integration. He has assessed and provided feedback to hundreds of senior leaders and CEOs around the world.
 

 

Dave Heine, Ph.D.

Executive Vice President, Board and C-Suite Solutions

Dave Heine’s consulting practice focuses on assisting Boards and CEOs with identifying successors, developing and improving the performance of Chief Executives and other senior executives, and with improving Board and senior team effectiveness. In over 25 years of consulting, he has helped leading global companies improve the quality of their talent decisions and ensure strong leadership is in place to execute their strategies and drive future success. As a coach, he has also helped hundreds of executives to better leverage their strengths, develop their potential, and improve their results. Dave’s experience as a business leader includes spearheading the growth of PDI Ninth House's assessment business for over a decade, helping turn it into a recognized world leader. He also led the growth of their global consulting practices, as well as their global field organization.

 

Karin Lucas, M.B.A.

Vice President, Global Operations

Karin Lucas leads the North American consulting services group and the global delivery, resource management, project services and product operations groups.  She leverages her organizational improvement, process design and quality background to guarantee client satisfaction.  Prior to joining PDI Ninth House, Karin was director of Patient Care Services at Allina Hospitals and Clinics, responsible for the operations of eight patient care units including the emergency department. Prior to Allina, Karin was vice president and general manager of Personal Trust Services at American Express Financial Services, and the director of National Office Operations for American Express Tax and Business Services. Karin also ran her own consulting business for eight years doing strategy, leadership development, and operations consulting.
 

  

Nelda Mayberry

Vice President, Global Marketing and Sales

Nelda Mayberry is vice president of global marketing, North America and Asia Pacific sales, global sales operations and enablement, and alliances/partners for PDI Ninth House. She possesses a wide-ranging background in global account sales, project and account management, sales operations, and telecommunications and communications. Nelda has extensive experience at increasing revenue and improving productivity while enhancing profitability and lowering costs. Her commitment to closely adhering to business priorities and commitments is evidenced by her successful track record of developing comprehensive strategies and solutions for customers, partners, and employees. In addition, she is recognized for her ability to manage diverse groups of individuals while fostering a positive team environment. Over the course of her career, Nelda has managed and worked closely with some of the most prestigious companies worldwide, including Coca-Cola, AT&T, BellSouth, Verizon, Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Hewlett-Packard, Johnson & Johnson, and FedEx.
 

 

Klaus Schuler, M.A.

Senior Vice President International Markets

Klaus Schuler leads the EMEA and Latin America Markets at PDI Ninth House including the partner organizations in these regions. He consults with organizations on global leadership solutions and the impact on their business. Klaus also coaches senior leaders and teams, and helps them manage through organizational change. Klaus enjoys dealing with complex organizational change and performance issues, helping his clients to leverage systemic implications and triggering significant improvements through leadership development by the formula: velocity = speed x direction

 

Mark Winter, C.P.A.

Vice President, Finance

As vice president of finance, Mark Winter leads PDI Ninth House’s worldwide finance and accounting team. He manages the accounting processes and systems that drive financial and tax reporting across all global regions, and provides operational support across the company by creating productivity measures at the individual and department levels. He also runs and coordinates the financial planning for all areas of the company, including the offices, products divisions, technology areas, and corporate overhead groups.
