Joanne Provo is skilled in leading executives through personal and team development, organizational change, and strategy execution. Her unique background combines 15 years in corporate finance with over 10 years in HR. She has partnered with senior leaders in a variety of industries in the U.S. and abroad, incorporating her own experience as an expat. She has spent time in more than 60 countries;  clients have benefited from her business perspective and global insights.

Before joining PDI Ninth House, Joanne held corporate positions in finance and organizational strategy. She also has broad teaching and training experience in finance, strategy, and HRD. Joanne frequently is sought out for speaking engagements and has been published in journals including Human Resource Development Quarterly and Human Resource Development International.

Results Achieved

  • Joanne leveraged her commercial and HR skills to co-develop an assessment for a large oil company that wanted to enhance its competitiveness by understanding the capabilities, experiences, and aspirations of their 100 top deal leaders worldwide. She personally led many of assessments, meeting the deal leaders in their locations across the globe. The resulting assessments allowed the executives of the core businesses to shape the development of their commercial deal teams across the world. In addition, she coached many of these deal leaders to enhance their impact in leading diverse, cross-functional, global teams in a highly stressful and competitive environment.
  • Joanne conducted an organizational assessment, resulting in feedback and coaching of field vice presidents and their regional operating committees of a large insurance company in the midst of transformation. As a result, senior members of the team developed a more effective coaching style and engagement strategy that improved performance throughout their regions.
