PDI Ninth House research analyzed 14,045 individuals to assess how leadership traits change between the major steps of leadership advancement. In this paper, we focus on how these leadership traits differ across four levels of leaders. Understanding what is typical at the next level can help leaders focus on their own development and on that of others in their organization, allowing leaders to leverage their strengths to improve leadership success.
